Velo Rouge Show Saturday 2/19/2011

Happy Valentines Day from the Quake City Jug Band! Didn't make that reservation for the fancy dinner in time? It was because all along, you were planning to celebrate by taking your sweetheart to the Velo Rouge on Saturday. RIGHT?  "Mink, schmink,... pearls, schmearls,..." "...If our doggies love each other, why can't we?" "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should..." "...At night while you're asleep, into your little tent I'm gonna creep..." "...My man's an undertaker-- he's got a coffin just your size." We've got songs for pretty much any slant you want to take on your belated St. Valentine's celebration. And Steve's found a new song. On the  fifth day of Christmas , my true love said to me: ENOUGH of the stupid  golden rings  already! Take me to the Bateau Ivre in  B e r k e l e y   2629 Telegraph to dine on fabulous food and  wine  while being serenaded by the  Quake City Jug Band featuring  Kerry Parker  on fiddle and vocals! This Weds. Dec 29. 2010 7-9PM Wear your Christmas sweater from Aunt Bertha. Bring Onkel Sven! Bring your wife's step niece and her overly pierced "partner" who claim that all the flights back to Heathrow have been canceled. Getting ready for the big PARTY

The brand-spankin' new CDs arrived TODAY! Yeah! I've got the sewing machine out, making some very special door prizes to go with our new CD (not your ordinary schwag...). 'Just happened to get in a carpool with a clothing designer this week who gave me helpful advice for using bias tape...  Don Howe (How do you make that 'bone talk on Beale Street?),  Doug Cross ,  Victor Landweber ,  Kerry Parker (This is not a Going Away Party, but maybe you'll sing it for us anyway?),  Monica McKey (have you heard her version of Makin' Whoopee?),  John Bidwell ,  Mark Gagliardi (Why does Santa only say "ho ho" now?)   ,  Bill Horvitz ,  Michael Schwartz , and  The Jazz Quartet , are all confirmed to be joining us to perform a few songs. Here's the menu so far: MEATBALLS! Ping's potstickers! Tom's Portuguese beans Cheese and crackers Cordon Bleu?? It could happen... Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday! See the poster below...
