At the start of the pandemic, John, Natasha started doing sidewalk jams in front of their house in Oakland. Rich Trevor, John Bidwell, Kevin Shaffer, Richard Young and many more joined in. It wasn't strictly Quake City repertiore, but it sure was fun. This Friday, 5:30-7PM we are kicking off the 2025 sidewalk jam season at The Well, our favorite local hang, right down the street! their sidewalk is a lot less slopey than ours, there is a BAR right there, and they will make you the best fried chicken sandwich you can imagine if you want! 'Tis the season... No, not Halloween. That's over for the year. It's the other season now... The Local Butcher Shop in Berkeley has invited us back to play on their front porch this holiday season. Come and get your holiday roast, or just buy a sandwich. (Or buy nothing and just hang out on the sidewalk with us!) Well, we are not so good at maintaining our website. But we are learning new songs! Quake City Jug Band is SUPER excited to head to Genoa for the 4th of July, 2022! Steve Scott will be coming all the way from Washington State to join us for this reunion! Zack Pitt-Smith is taking time out of his Grupo Falso Baiano appearances and his committed Oakland Unified Grammy-nominated music educator life to join us on clarinet and sax. Oliver Tuttle is fitting us in between gigs with the California Honeydrops in Quincy, CA and Bend, OR. Emmet Tuttle is taking a weekend off of his commitments in Santa Cruz, CA with his band, Airplane Mode. Yes, this whole gang, along with John Tuttle and Natasha Haugnes will be contributing to the musical mayhem this year at 2:45 PM on the main stage. Come early for the parade (of children, Radio-Flyer floats, sheep, costumed dogs, a kazoo band and more), led by John and Zack!
